It was good not the best that I have experienced at the Knoxville melting pot but considering that it was Prom season it was good.
Atmosphere was excellent. Staff very kind. We enjoyed the cheese and dessert portions the best. My husband is Gluten free so there were some good options for him but we had to be careful on the order we dipped our food so as not to cross contaminate the pot. The shrimp was by far our favorite and the other meats were ok. We probably will not order an entree again if we return.
We were a group of 6 and the tip was on the check. We felt that our waiter took care of his 4 top table quickly to get hos tip and took forever on our table because the tip was automatic. Our 4 course meal took over 3 hour and that is crazy. We waited a long time between each course. Manager had to fill our drinks and every time I was going to look for our waiter he was coming to our table. Everyone in the party was over sitting there. We have been about 5 times before and we know that this is not normal.we sat down at 6:45pm and the check says 9:54pm and we still had to wait on it and pay. Just entirely to long for dinner.
Our server, Marley was extremely friendly. She was attentive, and very friendly, without being overwhelming or annoying. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, and she was sure to give us our time to enjoy our night, but did a great job making sure we had everything we needed at all times.
We came to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, which was keeping our tradition of coming there for the milestone anniversaries. We came on our 10th and 20th anniversaries as well. Our server was sweet but kept herself discreet so we could enjoy our celebration. I think the muzak was a little low; I could barely hear it. We were unfortunately sat next to a booth of 4 that had 2 noisy kids with them. They disturbed us some with their loud talking and constant fussing at those kids. If the muzak had been up some, it may have helped toned them down. I told my husband that the food is so delicious that we should not wait until our 40th anniversary to come back again!
Portions of cheese need to be more.
The only real criticism is that the restaurant needed to have better staffing on tap, with such an event going on. I believe some of their staff didn't show, and that is understandable, but hopefully next time they are able to find others to cover in the absences.
I really can't think of anything that could have been better. We have been to the Melting Pot many times over the years and this was one of the best times!
Already did that. Could actually serve enough veggies and bread to complete the Fondue. Salads were skimpy, late but tasty.
Matt was a perfect server! He was patient & very helpful explaining the process.
