Was a great time and Joanie made it fun and answered all our questions.
Joanie had a great knowledge of the menu and made us have a great time.
Could have had a pitcher of water on the table.
The only thing we were unprepared for was the length of time for the entire dinner. While we all did have the 4 course meal, we were there for 2 1/2 hours with a 5 year old which was a little on the long side. Alex was a delightful person and answered our questions (numerous times). She was quite helpful and pleasant
Alex was great!! Props!! Made this the perfect date night.
Not really sure, But when we are dining having yelling and screaming children is such a distraction. Normally we come here for special occasions and get quiet intimate seating. Our last visit we were in the main dinind area and a large family with very young children were there halfway through our meal. I do not think it's a great or even potential dangerous venue for young children.
Alright folks, strap in and get ready because it's time to jump down the rabbit hole of cheesy goodness(read with uncertain excitement)! As I sat at the bar contemplating all things cheesy and melty?...that's not a real word, but it is now...I couldn't help but feel at home. Well, excluding the stuffed animals and people saying "get out!" or "who are you? You don't live here?". Ahh, nothing like family. However! The staff here at this Melting Pot was fantastic! This is where Joanie comes in. She practically floated on air as she first walked over to explain the menu to me. If you could picture angels singing and a golden light encapsulating the entire bar area, I can assure you that it was nothing like that. But it was close. For a brief moment I sat alone as she went in back to prepare a cheese once forgotten. The legendary bacon and jalapeño(cue the mariachi band to sing Prince mash ups)! As Joanie, or shall I say, the one, the only, THE PEOPLE'S CHAMPION(cue elbow) prepared my cheese I couldn't help but stare in awe. It was like watching a ninja cut fairies in half with fidget spinner, breathtaking. What a maestro, she reminds me of a young Tommy Wiseau(y-zo), so much talent and potential, I'm sure she'll run for president one day. Which brings me to the next part!!!! THE CELTICS ARE TALKING ABOUT TRADING ISIAH THOMAS!!? How ridiculous! So ungrateful. That's where the cheese came in, oh, my, gatos. Flippin' incredulous, absolutely BO-DACIOUS! The cheese just like, tasted sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOoOoOo goooooood. It was like, it was melted and this was a fondue restaurant. I just couldn't believe it. Had I not been reminded where I was, I probably would have never lived to tell the tale. That's where some girl(Hannah, the manager, haha) comes in, her presence and amazing customer service saved me from the cheese wormhole I was beginning to be pulled into. What a savior. Then Mark came and talked to me about video games. Even though he seems like someone who didn't beat Witcher, he's still a great guy. But that's just based off first impressions. Overall, I'm pretty sure I found a meaning in life during this visit. I will tell tales to my future kids and their kids about the epiphany we all shared tonight at the melting pot. (Elongated pause...roll in's not over!) One last thing, thanks for being awesome everyone. You're all amazing at being who you are and for this I encourage you to continue to do so. I'll miss you all and this place very much. Thank you all for putting up with me, trust me, I understand it isn't easy. This place will always be home to me and you all my family. Now, go prep!!! BYE!
Our server, Dana, was fantastic. She was friendly, personable and very knowledgeable. She always made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. She did the perfect amount of chit chatting. The manager also stopped by to make sure everything was okay
We went for mothers day and ordered off of the special menu. It was the first time going to the Melting Pot with my two children ages 6 and 8 as well. Dan was our waiter and he was excellent. Extremely attentive and very personable and explained everything perfectly. We were a party of 6 and it was a great time with great food. Next time a deal comes in, we will certainly be back as my kids really enjoyed the food and actually ate the main course too!
Julia was phenomenal. She's funny yet professional. It was refreshing to have a waitress I enjoyed talking to and didn't come off as pushy or bored. Also, the girl she was training (I believe her name was Christine, if not I apologize) was doing a great job. They were both super knowledgeable about the food and processes and made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Plus, I received a birthday card and strawberry with happy Birthday written on the plate which was a very nice surprise. I forgot box of strawberries though. A reminder or table delivery of them would have been awesome because I was drinking and I have a bad memory normally. But,no big deal, dinner was amazing as usual.
