The only thing keeping me away is the cost, but if you go down on quality, I won't come back. Otherwise, you guys always do a great job from top to bottom.
Overall, the experience was very good to excellent. On our date, we enjoyed the experience and it was made fun for us by the server. The taste was very good, but I was a bit confused with how to cook the items. To be clear, it was explained how to cook them and the recommended minutes per plate of food, but for example, on my vegetarian plate, the asparagus clearly takes much longer to cook than the tofu and so once I put my sticks in the pot I had to be pretty focused on which was which and that kind of took away from the conversation intimacy, but not necessarily in a bad way. This is simply an observation. The service was excellent and the GM made a certain point to genuinely ask how our night was proceeding, and that was very nice (much nicer than a manager simply asking in passing like you get at chain restaurants). I would like to point out that the Sangria and Mule were excellent drinks. Both were very tasty and seemed to be of good quality. The bartender was in training and she made it a point to tell us that, which I thought spoke highly of the selection of her as an employee and the training she was receiving. The only recommendation that is in my mind from last night that I would change would be the layout of the menu. If it weren't for the "Big night out" I would have had a hard time figuring out what to do. To this end, the server made a special point of talking about a promotional tequila tasting taking place in April and shared how a goal of the Melting Pot is make clearer to people that you can just come in for cocktails and cheese or dessert. Honestly, I had no idea! I assumed each time there (I've only be twice, once many years ago and once last night) would be a big production taking hours. To know that I can have a much more casual date night with just cocktails or cocktails and small portions definitely piques my interest to return. I think knowing this as well makes me much more inclined to recommend the Melting Pot to others because there are options besides just a "big night out". I hope this feedback helps and I think it's important to share it. If you would like any other information I would be more than happy to help or recommend.
We gave a gift of an evening at The Melting Pot to our daughters for a girl's night out. We had a blast-would like to return with my husband so he can experience it as well. It is a little pricey but GOOD-hope to return for a special evening with him.
I cannot remember our waiters name but he was wonderful. It was our first experience and he made certain that we understood what we were to do in the most respectful way. His timing was perfect and he checked on us regularly to see that we were happy and comfortable. He made our cheese course right in front of us and told us of all of the ingredients as he added them and made nice small talk. He is one of the reasons that I would not hesitate to come again.
The server was a not as upbeat as we thought he would be but other than that every thing was great
Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in till the moment we left. Our server was very informative and very enthusiastic. Every person we talked to was so nice. We had a great time. Can't wait to visit again.
Quantity was almost too much. Walked away from half the chocolate. Just too full. Salad not good. Next to no dressing. Very noisy with chatter from the food prep area.
Tobe was great came and checked on us.. Numerous times.. Expained everything perfect.. And then the owner came by and talked with us for a bit.made sure our experience was up to par... I was impressed with the owner took the time to come around and check on people.
I asked the server salt but he forgot about it so asked another server who promptly brought it to table. I would make the berry lemonade way less sweet. Also on Valentine’s Day the rose that we got from the restaurant wasn’t very fresh. The pot in our booth was a little far from my reach.
A truly incredible experience overall. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere was perfect. My fiance and I had reservations for Valentine's Day, and it was important for the experience to go well. (I should clarify that I'd proposed just a few hours before we arrived.) I only have a few minor complaints. The time in between the entree and dessert courses was a bit long, and our waitress did not visit our table as often as I would have liked. However, I chalk both of these small issues up to the business of Valentine's Day. Again, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and we will most certainly return in the near future.
