We came for our 2nd wedding anniversary and as usual we’re treated as a family!
Our service was on the slow side, we eat here fairly regularly and it has never taken this long to go through the 4 courses. Even though it was slow our sever however was very friendly and polite and made sure we had plenty of everything. He even took time to talk with my daughters and engage with them.
If more attention could be paid to drinks and or time between courses.
Tonight my boyfriend and I came to The Melting Pot to celebrate our two year anniversary! Austin D. was our server and he turned an anniversary dinner into an incredibly magical night. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. This was my first time so I wasn’t familiar with the process and he walked me through every step without being overbearing. Each course came out in a timely manner and at dessert he surprised us with a glass of champagne to toast to our two year. My boyfriend and I will definitely be making this our new anniversary spot!! Thanks for a very special evening!
    Pretty satisfactory
Not sure what I rated as poor or fair
We bought wine for my wife and Shirley Temples at the bar for my two daughters while waiting about an hour to be seated (despite having a reservation). The drinks were fine, but I can’t comment on the food as we were never greeted by a server, were not able to order food, and left hungry and extremely disappointed an hour and a half after our reservation time. Worst dining experience attempt I’ve ever had, anywhere, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time as this was supposed to be a special Valentine’s Day treat for my family. It ruined our night and put me in the doghouse... not a pleasant ride home and hard to explain what happened to my 10 and 12 year old daughters as I am still dumbfounded at the way we were treated.
There is not much that could have been better. Our waiter was a bit strange, but not to the point of being bothersome or making things uncomfortable. Also, he made an excellent wine recommendation. The Starmont cabernet was great and complimented our meal amazingly well. The complimentary champagne for our anniversary was a nice touch, as well. My only surprise on the bill was a charge for our cooking style. I was not aware that this was a separate cost as it is obviously necessary to cook the food. It was not much, but came as a surprise. Overall, we had another great experience at the Melting Pot. We will be back.
Our server Joseph was very good, even though he was fresh out of training, he knew what he was doing, he was patient with us, friendly and fun. The manager, Jared, was extremely accommodating and even made us a special chocolate of his own recipe. We will for sure be back!
The drinks were a major let down, I wasn't expecting cockatil service like the kind I received last night. I've been to the Melting Pot multiple times before and this is the first time that I've had issues.
