    Food and service was good.
Our waitress Lanie was great. Very friendly. Excellent at her job. She said she had only been there a month but you couldn't tell that! She was awesome. We asked for a cheese that's no longer on the menu and she was able to make it for us. I also asked her a question about the dumplings and she answered but double check with the kitchen to make sure she gave the right info. The best waitress we've had in a while! Will for sure request her as our server next time!
Our server was incredibly kind and pushed the experience over the top. He answered all of our questions and took the time to make friendly conversation. My one complaint is how cold the building was. It's Louisiana. I didn't pack a jacket. Great experience over all.
My friend and I sat at the bar and Adam let us know it was GNO which was wonderful! Everything was perfect and the food and service was great. My drink was never ever empty and the food quality was excellent! Patrick the manager stopped by and that was also a nice touch. Thank you, Adam!
We got there at 8:05p. From ordering to paying the took around 2 hours to get in and out.
Our reservation was for 7 pm and we arrived at 6:55. The waiting area was crowded and the hostess curtly advised us that we would "be seated at 7". We were finally brought to a makeshift table in the bar area at 7:25 and it was clear that others with no reservation were seated ahead of us. We waited. And waited. None of the servers in the bar area would even make eye contact with us. At 7:45 we were able to flag down the hostess to inquire as to our server. At 8 our waitress appeared. She was very flustered and appeared to be disgruntled at being assigned our table, which seemed to be out of her area, as ours was the only table in the bar she was serving. Service continued to be slow and we concluded our meal around 10pm. The portions of apples and veggies served with the cheese fondue were less than we were used to for two of us and there were 4 in our party. We were advised that the pork tenderloin and beef listed as part of the classic experience meal were not available and offered sausage and pot-stickers as a substitute. When we refused that the server, after a lengthy time in the kitchen, agreed to substitute filet mignon. And this on a night when The Melting Pot had advertised unlimited servings! Our server stated that the "distribution center is in Houston" by way of explanation. That may be but there are at least 4 grocery stores in a 2 mile radius of the restaurant. This dinner was to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. Our server brought 2 complimentary glasses of champagne to the table which was very nice but again awkward as there were 4 of us at the table. All in all it was a completely aggravating experience. I want to emphasize that we are not that difficult to please. Although I am sure our frustration was evident, at no time were we impolite to any of the staff. In the past we have often come to The Melting Pot to celebrate special occasions but I doubt very much we will be back.
Tyler was a great waiter and definitely made the night more enjoyable and gave great advice on the different courses.
Train servers better! Servers should be well versed in the menus and promotions. Management should visit every table to ensure patrons are satisfied.
Vest waiter we've ever had. Very funny and quality conversation.
Danny was so educated on the menu items and was a joy to be served by
