    Our server was very personable
Danae was incredible. Despite her being new, she was our favorite waitress ever. My only complaint was that I had reserved the Escape package for our anniversary, and when we arrived, they could not find our name, and then tried to seat us at a normal table. I mentioned to the host that we should have a private booth, and he seemed to be at a loss for how to handle it. It made us feel like we were complaining rather than not getting what we had paid for. We were eventually given a different table, but it was also not a private booth. It's a little upsetting considering that paying for the escape package is entirely about the private booth for us, and the hosts just didn't seem to be well organized. Our waitress Danae was awesome. She strikes a great balance of professionalism and knowledge with having fun with her customers. She was clearly well trained, but also has a knack for this. The manager visited us twice, once to bring us our Rosa Regale, and the 2nd time because I had requested to speak to him, wanting to compliment Danae for being so new but already so good at her job. If we return, we'll request Danae if possible, but I hope that things improve with the reservation process.
Food overall was superb as always. However I felt our server my have been new or nervous since he kept stumbling with explanations as to how the fondue worked and over all just talked really fast as he stumbled over words. Felt as though he may have been uncomfortable with where he was or what he was doing
I don't know what I said to make you think you could have done better. The food was fine (really, it is raw meat and fish-you don't do anything to it) and the service was excellent. I believe the only thing not rated in a top or second category was "value." It is somewhat hard to call $112 (including a well-deserved tip) lunch for two that did not include wine or cocktails a great value. A nice indulgence, perhaps, but not a great value. As far as the new menu displaying the nutrition information in a clear manner, I couldn't begin to say that I even saw the information because, really, you don't go to the Melting Pot to improve your diet. It is a splurge, you just enjoy it. :-)
Matt was a fantastic server. He was immediately on top of all of our needs and was super friendly. We will definitely be back.
Our server was overwhelmed. The manager on duty was trying to help her out. The server who waited on us, literally walked over and apologized for the wait and then asked us if we were ready to order. Yes, I have been there before but she didn't explain the ala carte vs full four course meals. Didn't explain or recommend anything. She just wanted us to order so she could move on to another table. When our entree came, we had to ask on cooking times. She did however explain what the different meats were on our plate. She explained what the sauces were, but did not tell us which ones go with what items. My drink was constantly empty and I also had to re-ask for a couple items I had asked her to get for us. When our check came, we were overcharged. I pointed this out and she took care of it, but after she brought my credit card back, she said thank you and walked right off and waited on another table. I think she just was to busy to provide the service that should come with a $150 bill for 2 people. I expect this kind of service from an outback or Chili's but not a nicer more expensive dining establishment.
sharon was a wonderful server. i would return and request here again!
To recap our server was Sharon, she made us feel at home, got anything we needed, extra sauce and veggies... we were stuffed! Troi, the manager checked on us a couple of times! She really seemed like she wanted to make sure we were enjoying our experience! Bravo excellent!
The biggest issue we had was concern over the cooking time of our meat. I had a vegetarian dish as well, but it still needed cooked for a certain period of time. We were surprised that there were no timers or small clocks available at the tables for customers to utilize. A timer would be perfect. Instead I had my phone out the whole time setting it to a minute and a half on up. You could come up with a solution to that and it would be great! Include the cost into the meal if it comes up missing, or build them into the table and a stand. Something fun would be best.
There needs to be more explanation from the server or the host or on the menu how things are priced. It has always seemed to me that you try to keep it a secret how a table can share the various parts of the dinner. The pricing has always been hard to figure out, i.e. is it better to buy a 4 course meal or maybe just three fondues. Is there really any benefit to purchasing a package. I guess you have hidden things to well that maybe it works well for your bottom line.
