To expensive. To dark. Had to read the menu and look at my food to see if it were done using the light on my cell phone.
There are just nights when you get a server who goes above and beyond. Our most recent visit was good, just not the service we really enjoy. At one point, we asked for more sauces and didn't get them. So was glad we had made mention that we would want a lot of Green Goddess and Teriyaki sauce at the beginning. We also asked for the Garlic and Wine seasoning and didn't ever receive it. Not that the service was bad, just could have been a bit better.
Tell us how to turn down the oil so my son's face didn't get splashed w/oil or circulate more during that portion of the meal. also, we didn't need salad-too much food and flavor was bland compared to the fondue which was all so delicious.
Kay went out of her way to make our 25th wedding anniversary special.
The only issues that I had was the speed at how the meal was served. We sat for probably 10 minutes before the waiter ever showed at the table, then we were halfway done with the cheese fondue before our drink order arrived. The salad was delievered during the cheese course (we had 2 courses of cheese). The chocolate fondue was slow to come out as well and we requested the premium chocolate plate she said it would be out in 3 minutes. We were almost done with the chocolate before it arrived. Also, her drink refilling left much to be desired. Her friendliness was there, but she seemed to have a hard time keeping up the pace.
The experience was wonderful. I can see that this establishment, more than others, is about a certain pace. It is about slowing down and enjoying each course that is brought to your table as if it were a new dish that you could play with and experiment with. The timing is slower than other establishments, but it fits the experience they want you to get and it was an enjoyable one.
The service was fantastic as always, as was the food. From the cocktails to the coffee, all drinks were great. Every course turned out amazing, and the special tomato basil cheese course deserves to be on the permanent menu.
Everything was really great! The only thing that could have been improved was there was a pretty big gap of time between our salad course and entree, but we overall very satisfied.
We felt like Ashley really went out of her way to make it a very enjoyable and memorable night. Great interaction and chit chat. She really went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome. Thank you Ashley!
