My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and our server, Alex was amazing and thorough. We enjoyed him. Also the manager did stop in to check on us and we appreciated that attention. It was the perfect night.
I would suggest that the servers explain the options for each course in more detail. We only come once a year and didn't quite understand how the process works until we experienced it firsthand. A little more description of our options would be helpful.
The experience was exceptional and Shelby was a great server!
    Our waitress was a gem!
The price is quite high for the average person. I think that's the only thing I dinged you on. Everything was perfect, it's just more expensive than we generally see on a night out. Please note that I only have the credit card receipt, so I don't have all the information you asked for on the first couple of screens. This is the perfect place for a very special night out.
    The staff was exceptional.
This was my husband's very first time at the Melting Pot and having fondue, and my second time here. I had a fun time with my girlfriends on my first time, so decided my husband and I should come here on a date night. Now I wish we hadn't spent our money for this experience. The service was absolutely terrible and unacceptable. We sat in the little two private booth area. Our server Alex was inattentive and conspicuously absent. It began when he came by our table to tell us he would be with us in a few minutes because he had to make cheese for another table; he had a tray of waters but did inform us that those were not for us. When he reappeared after ten minutes, he took our drink order. When he came back with our waters, the table next to us was having a conversation with their server. He loudly and boisterously butted in on their conversation, looking over the divider, and ignoring us completely for a long conversation about how he went to Cal Poly and whether he knew the other couples son, who based on their responses, were as uncomfortable as we were. When we finally placed our order and Alex came back, he made the cheese without really talking to us about it, and in my previous experience the server explained what was going in and what they were doing. After not too long, came back with salads while we were still enjoying the cheese. Then came the entree. He neglected to explain cross-contamination (as my previous server had on my other experience), such as how you have two separate plates for the raw and cooked foods. Barely went over the sauces, and left again. It was really disheartening to hear the awesome server Jordan at the table next to us connecting with the other couple, suggesting certain sauces for certain things and being overall pleasant. Now after our entrees were long done, Alex was nowhere to be found. We sat and sat waiting, and he stopped by and put the chocolate menu on our table without a word or eye contact and walked away. I watched as he walked past our table out on the floor three times without even looking in our direction. We waited for twenty minutes, when a tall bald man (I am assuming a manager but he did not introduce himself as such) came and cleared our entree plates. He asked us which chocolate we were considering, and I told him, just thinking he was making conversation. Well, five to ten minutes later, that same man (not our server) dropped off the chocolate I had mentioned with no explanation as to who he was or where our server was. Having still not seen our server Alex again, we waited for our check for another very long while after finishing our chocolate. Finally, we were able to flag him down and without another word or eye contact or apology or explanation of his absence, left our check on the table. In the middle of me saying "excuse me" to get his attention so I could hand him my payment right away so we would not have to wait longer, he yet again disappeared. He finally returned after fifteen more minutes and took the payment and then brought the check back for me to sign and told us to have a good night. We are extremely disappointed by the service we received at the Melting Pot. We felt like an afterthought and this experience turned a rare date night out for us into a downer. The food was wonderful, but the poor service left us with a bad taste in our mouths. We don't know if we will be back, for fear that we may have terrible service for the price paid.
Size of the portions were smaller than I thought they would be. For example when our server was making our cheese for us, she didn't use all of the white wine or shredded cheese. The food was quality and tasted excellent.
Very fresh Seasoned perfectly Needed more wait staff Needs more attention to the salad Wonderful chocolate course Nice 8 oz option on wine pours
Having a private booth, it was just wonderful being in a toasty little area enjoying a relaxing meal. As said in the previous section Shelby was awesome, super helpful, very accommodating and was just an all around great server. I'd gladly come back and have her as our server.
